What is Thermage FLX:
Thermage FLX is a non-invasive radio-frequency (RF) therapy that can smooth, tighten, and contour the skin for an overall younger-looking appearance. Thermage FLX effectively delivers RF energy to the skin’s deeper layer to stimulate new, healthy collagen formation and strengthen the existing collagen structure. This results in overall skin tightening, fine line reduction, improvement in contours, and smoother younger looking skin without the need for surgery and injection.
Who would benefit from Thermage?
Thermage FLX is an excellent treatment for mild to moderate skin sagging and laxity. It is also a perfect option for those who do not wish to go under the knife for a facelifting procedure but still desire a firm and tighten skin appearance.
Thermage treatment can be performed on various body parts such as the skin around the eyes, face, neck, tummy, buttock, and thigh. Throughout my practice, I particularly love the result of Thermage when performed around the eyes. It can tighten saggy eyelids, reduce fine wrinkles and eye bags. I firmly believe that it is the best non-invasive skin tightening treatment available in the market today.
How many treatments would it take to see the result? How long is each treatment?
To be frank, It much depends on individual skin sagging and laxity stage. For a patient with a mild sagging condition, one treatment is often enough to deliver an outstanding result for most patients in their early 40s. Their skin tightens and firms gradually over 3 to 6 months as soon as new collagen matures. Generally, Thermage FLX can be repeated every 6-12 months to further improve the result and sustain skin firmness.
Each Thermage required treatment duration ranges from 45minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the number of shots performed.
Generally, I use 450 shots for eye treatment, which will take approximately 45 minutes, while 600-900 shots for full-face, which will take 60-90minutes to complete the treatment.
Is Thermage Painful? Will there be any downtime?
With integrated cooling technology and vibration, most patients feel warm with deep heat sensation and make the treatment relatively comfortable.
Topical anesthesia is not needed.
There is no downtime for the Thermage procedure. This means you can get right back to your daily routine after the treatment, including your skincare routine.
