Warts are those rough, hard, bumpy skin growths that can happen anywhere on your body. While there are different types of viral warts, they’re all caused by the same virus – human papillomavirus (HPV). You are more likely to get one of these viruses if you cut or damage your skin in some way.
Warts can be a nuisance and make you feel self-conscious, especially if they grow on your hand or in other places you can’t hide. Remember not to touch a wart because they’re contagious and may spread from one part of the body to another.
If you have a wart that’s getting worse, consult with our doctor to get the right treatment.
