Warts are rough, bumpy skin growths that can happen anywhere on your body. While there are different types of viral warts, they are all caused by the same virus – human papillomavirus (HPV). You are more likely to get one of these viruses if you somehow cut or damage your skin.
Warts can be a nuisance and make you feel self-conscious, especially if they grow on your hand or in other places you can not hide. Remember not to touch a wart because they are contagious and may spread from one part of the body to another.
